MeanRed partner Jen Lyon spoke with Jennine Hooper on her radio show for Art on Air. Jen talked about what it means to be Built By MeanRed, our upcoming events, and her booking and club management history!

AIR, Art International Radio, is a non-profit Internet radio station, free online cultural archive, and media arts center. Producing over 500 new radio shows annually, AIR features a diverse range of programming from audio art to interviews and from music to spoken word and radio theater.

Through shared resources, conferences, discussions, outreach, and collaborative projects, AIR is committed to engaging and supporting the arts community both in New York City and around the world. AIR’s galleries and project studios host series of artist exhibitions, workshops, community events, and radio productions.

AIR was formed in 2009 by Founder and former Director of P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, Alanna Heiss, as a continuation and reimagining of Art Radio WPS1.org, the Internet radio station operated by P.S.1. WPS1.org amassed over 2,000 hours of art talk, music and cultural programs during its 5 years of operation. This extensive archive was transferred to AIR, and they continuously add to and diversify this collection.
