Oktoberfest / 10.9.10 / Governors Island

MeanRed, put their heads together to come up with a passion project for it’s owners Jen Lyon & Katie. Jen, a well known event producer loves to find empty spaces and turn them into something magical. Katie, has a love of craft beers and amazing food.

Out of their love, came “The 2009 Greenpoint Oktoberfest – Built By MeanRed” and it brought over 3,000 people to the Greenpoint waterfront (Transmitter Park) for an evening of crisp beers, warm food, music, families and good times.

The event was so well received that MeanRed has expanded the concept, with more beer, more food and a new venue, Governor’s Island!

Oktoberfest – Built By MeanRed 2010, on October 9th – brings an afternoon of New York State and Germany’s finest beers. A specially curated beer list that is right for every palate.
