I have loved Pretty Lights from afar for WAY to long, so today his track “I Know the Truth” is my Sunday offering.

Co-founder of MeanRed Productions Jen Lyon will be speaking this Friday at TEDx Brooklyn. She’s so damn modest that she didn’t even tell us about it, so we decided to brag for her.

The event runs from 9am-6pm on Friday at Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg and features talk from “some of Brooklyn’s most innovative, transformational and influential speakers”. Some names include Ciel Hunter and Julia Kaganskiy of the Creator’s Project, Jonny Wilson of Eclectic Method and tons more.

Azari & III were the magical unicorns of BEMF 2010. We huddled around with our fingers crossed, hoping they would confirm to play. Then they did, and they killed it with all of their otherworldly-funk-fantastical-energy. This track reminds me why we fell in love on the dancefloor.

This track has a disco aesthetic that is creeping and feels important and understated, in the way only the sweeter habitants of our North America neighbors can be, with minimal vocals that leave you wanting.
